As a producer for USN, you’ll:

Compensation:
Producers are paid $50-$5,000 per story, depending on the scope, length, and complexity of the piece and will be negotiated prior to green-lighting production.

Story Submission Requirements
We welcome pitches for stories that align with our core pillars:

Focus: Captures diverse perspectives from all walks of life within the U.S., focusing on personal stories, values, and cultures that contribute to the nation’s collective identity.
Example Stories: Profiles of individuals with unique backgrounds, stories highlighting cultural traditions, and experiences that reveal shared values.
Description for Viewers: Explore the voices and stories that define our diverse communities, from everyday perspectives to unique traditions. - Impact Makers
Focus: Features stories about individuals, groups, or organizations making an impact, focusing on community-building efforts, acts of kindness, or leadership that brings positive change.
Example Stories: Profiles of local heroes, community leaders, volunteers, and individuals whose efforts improve their neighborhoods or inspire others.
Description for Viewers: Meet the changemakers who are actively shaping their communities, one impactful action at a time. - Innovation & Solutions
Focus: Celebrates creative problem-solving and innovation that addresses local or broader societal challenges, from grassroots efforts to technological advancements.
Example Stories: Stories of inventive solutions to common issues, pioneering community projects, small businesses using new methods, or creative problem-solving in unexpected places.
Description for Viewers: Discover the ingenuity and innovation making a difference, showcasing the unique solutions that move us forward. - Strength in the Journey
Focus: Highlights personal stories of resilience, overcoming adversity, and growth, focusing on individuals who demonstrate strength through challenging circumstances.
Example Stories: Personal journeys through hardship, tales of survival and success, stories of rebuilding after loss, and inspiring narratives of perseverance.
Description for Viewers: Follow the journeys of individuals who have faced life’s trials with courage and resilience, illustrating the strength within each of us.
Submission Checklist:
- A brief synopsis of the story (150 words or less).
- Key characters or subjects involved.
- Potential visual elements (locations, events, etc.).
- Estimated timeline for production.
- Any relevant samples of your past work.
